Friends,
let me show two recently painted figures from the Mohács set of Offizin Gerstenhauer  (previously Kieler Zinnfiguren).
First the figure C14 of a Hungarian baron and the figure of a Hungarian bagpiper C15).
The figures - at least the figure of the bagpiper - should represent the musician BEFORE the battle, since there was no mood and place for making merry thereafter.
The battle ended up with a disastrous Hungarian defeat wherein about 18 000 Hungarian soldiers have been killed by the Ottoman army .
The king, Louis II died and died the majority of the Hungarian aristocrats (barons), the majority of the Hungarian prelates (bishops).

I have to mention that Mr. Gerstenhauer, who at present manages the Kieler Zinnfiguren, is a very nice gentleman, it is a pleasure to contact him.
Have a nice day-
Sandor
