Bravo Eric !

As usual, a lot of life and light in your painting.

The only small remark is the grey colour of the stair steps, and its fresh shiny finish, which looks more like being made of modern beton, than stones or a carpet of the Middle Age ...

Your background tone fits perfectly the presentation of your flats now; I should be looking at some similar tones, to vary with the black velvet. White is defitively to avoid as killing the lights of the painting itself.

Obviousely, this flat seems to be originated from:

The Marriage of King Arthur and Queen Guinevere by John Henry Frederick Bacon.

Nick is the man to ask about the figure, but if there's a problem I got some here I could get out to you :)

Nice work, Eric.  Any way this piece will be available to members who did not go to Kulmbach?   :D

Beautiful, Eric, as usual, but the white dress for the wedding was white only at the time of Queen Victoria, I believe, much later that in the Middle Age.

I am going to make a bit more search in History to find a more historical dressing...  although this serie deals with Legends, allwoing more freedom ...

Could not leave Brian alone
Here is my first go on the figure
Tomorrow the end

The figure is a little "heavy", faces could have been more expressive and delicate, the hands are rather rough
But in the whole it is not desagreable to paint and it lets the painter free

Try it !

Waouuwww! You are the first to show a painted interpretation!.
After the shows of Vieux Condé and Sèvres, and one week in Les Landes near the coast of Spain, I have my paintings still packed from my return from Turkey, but this is one of the projects to be started in Winter!

My congratulations Brian !   ( and thanks for some excellent ideas...)

Any Kulmbach "leftovers" available for the rest of us? Price is not a big concern.
