Dear Sandor,
I have attached a copy of the Maier catalogue which, I think, Marko emailed to me some years ago.  I am uncertain if the mounted crossbowman is in any particular set but you will see him illustrated as U8 on page 4 of the catalogue.  I hope this is helpful.
By the way, your figures are beautifully painted.

Best wishes,
Peter oo~

Hi Sandor,
as Christoph wrote you should contact Leoni Anderer for SIMA figures. I must confirm that she is a nice lady always providing good service for customers and fluent in English by the way.
Good luck and show us more painted figures. I think you are making a really good progress in painting.

Hello Sandor,
that is the wrong Maier (Maier is a common german family name). I don´t think that they have a homepage. Leoni Anderer is the great grand daughter of the famous engraver Sixtus Maier (I´m not quiet sure, maybe great great grand daughter). The best is to send an e-mail. (zinnfiguren.maier@web.de) and ask for a catalouge in PDF format. I dealed with her some time ago and she offerd a great service.

Thank you, for the feedbacks Gentlemen.

@Eric: About the technics used:
·         I always prime the surface with black acrylic primer
·         the armor plates got an acrylic grey coat (Vallejo Model Color 161 London Grey)
·         afterwards I used oils: white, black, burnt umber and blue (Van Dyck 03, 73, 34 + medium blue temper) pure or mixed according to the tint needed
·         finally I sealed the cured surface using matt warnish (Montana T1010) – that subdues the shine of the oils, that I don’ like

@Oleg:  About SIMA-editor: I also tried to find it on the web, but I was not able. I found that Berliner Zinnfiguren offers some Sixtus Maier sets (but not the one I am looking for).
Bistulfi’s editors’ register states that Leonie Anderer is the present editor (zinnfiguren-maier@web.de), but on their website their catalog does not show the medieval figures I am interested in.
If you happen to have an e’Mail contact to the right editor please let me know.

@Christoph: Thank you for the hint, I shall visit the web-site you sent.

Take care of you!

Very nice, I like the way you paint the armour!

Sadly there are not many figures around for mounted crossbowman.

Do you know the figures of Ulrich Lehnart, he edited some very nice burgundy knights?

Hi Sandor,
crossbowman is from the set edited by SIMA - Burgundians 15 cent. Two figures engraved by S.Maier the younger and others by Franck. You can still order them from SIMA.
Best wishes from Canada.

Friends,
recently I painted a few Burgundian knights plus a mounted crossbowman.
Here they are!
Btw: I find the crossbowman extreme finely designed and engraved. It is a SIMA (Sixtus Maier) figure. If somebody knows from which set it came from, perhaps who sell the set I would be interested to buy the rest of the set. Thank you!
Take care of you-
Sandor
