Show is over now.
For the flats, 35 artists and 73 pieces were submitted (against 35 & 64 last year)
Junior: 1 painter - 1 flat
Novice : 7 painters - 17 flats
Confirmé: 9 painters - 16 flats
Master : 18 painters - 38 flats
Green : 1 artist - 1 green (artist also painter)
* A double display was presented by Richard Poisson and Delphine Agnello for an Homage to Catherine Césario. As most works are the same as in Rubelles 2017 and Sèvres 2017, I will post several photographiess of Catherine posted on the wall.
This year, Masters accounted for 50% of the flats registered, less Confirmed, but more novices !! the new generation ! also the Bour couple moved from catégory Confirmed to catégory Master (total of 13 flats), explaining the ratio change.
* Unfortunately microphone was of bad quality and I could not catch the awards , they will be adjusted when published on the site of the organizing club. Also The Club Les Fêlés told me having no time and priority to send me a list of the painting titles of the competition flats exposed, perhaps only the painters names later .... So many pictures will bear minimal information unfortunately .. Sorry for this... ( I will try to complete wit data from the next two shows, if submitted also there).
* Lightening for the hall for the Clubs was much better this year, the Hall was really crowdy, space restricted for the competition, and even to short for the vendors and clubs, supporting the success of this middle size show (around 6-700 pieces, perhaps more?). Therefore a good success. Many Clubs and vendors were present, but flats sales declining.
* A brillant painting demonstration was given by Guy Bibeyran on freehand painting on figures = excellent, enjoyable and will be given in Figurine-TV later on. Thank you Guy!
Please allow a couple of days before posting pictures in the Gallery ..
