I don't know whether Herr Kugl is still active in the hobby. I haven't seen him for years, and he did once tell me he had a health problem. I believe I have these figures in my attic, and don't think I'll ever get around to painting them, so you are welcome to have them IF I  can find them. Give me a few days.

Thanks to Ed Humphreys here is the catalog in PDF form.  It is fairly large (13.1 mb) so beware it is a large download.

I've just looked closer at the Kugl catalogue. There is a small Part two (First World War) and a Part three (American Civil War). I'm scanning them now.

gerhard: yes, as you are writting, fine 54mm soldiers.

Also in Czech rep. earlier were very popular paper soldier in high quality I guess, printed in magazine ABC once or twice per year as you can see here: http://media1.papermanie.cz/images/media1:55df30d01a8e3.jpg/DSCN3471.jpg or http://www.detske-casopisy.cz/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/ABC_26.rocnik_1981-82_cislo_02_vojaci_tricetilete_valky.jpg.

I ll do some scan of the catalogue if it will be useful(pic. attached).

I found that in Czech military museum has an exposition of flat figures and some of them you can see here: http://www.vhu.cz/exhibit_category/cinove-figurky/ but only in Czech languege.

Hello Fesak
Many thanks for your Information about Czech Editors.
I got two Sheets from Mr Radosta many years ago. I ordered some of his 54mm round figures. (Wallenstein, some Austrians of 18th and 19th Century) and he send me 5 flat figures as a gift. But then I stopped collecting for years.
(On the Sheets Mr Radosta sent me, was the mentioned austrians for 1805, some 30 years war infantry and a manger Scene.

Kind Regards
Gerhard

I have just found the catalogue Herr Kugl gave me many years ago. It is of his Napoleonic figures (did he do any others?) and is entitled Part 1. There are over fifty pages, but some of the drawings are rather faint. It will take a while to scan them, but give me a few days. Should I send them directly to you, Mark?

thank you lads, i ll check websites to find what i m looking for  ;)

gerhard: as far as i remember flat figures in Czech rep. was doing Karel Vorisek, but nowadays i did not see any. Only round figures in 40mm size(http://hussa.cz/19-cinove-figurky?p=2). I guess Radosta made also round figures. Both of them are great sculptors and figures were very good.
Earlier you coud buy flat or round figures in museum shops, but the quality was poor and many of them were just copies. I did not visit any museum for a long time do hard to say, but i have in plan to visit austerlitz this year, during the winter as there will be the show. there should be big dioramas of flat figures, i hope so.
Finally i found old catalogue of czechoslovakia tin figures from 1986 in antique book shop - i ll hold it in my hands next week. i ll do some report than  ;) .

I purchased quite a few of the Vollrath sets from Ochel. They vary in quality but many are excellent - well engraved and cast. Most if not all are engraved by Lecke.

Hello Fesak
Many of the Vollrath figures are in the Golberg catalogue visible on this side. (South American, Austrian/Sardinian 1848/49)
Other Vollrath figures you can see on Kieler Zinnfiguren Website. (Shapur, Coronation Maximilian I) www.kieler-zinnfiguren.de
Many Kügl Series are visible at Berliner Zinnfiguren (all figures with Nr. 279/ in front - the Peninsular War figures for instance)
I have one question Fesak. Are there any flats in Czech Republic. I know some figures of Radosta (Austrian Infantry 1805)
I would be very interested if there are Czech Editors.
Greetings from Austria
Gerhard
