The gallery is still ongiong, but not much more for flats so far !!! (did we had more?)

Got this from the organisers, the BFFS was there helping, well done guys  ;)

Hello all,

Well, the dust has settled and I'm catching up on all the things I should have done in the first week. One thing I have been remiss on is thanking you all, and asking that you pass this thanks on to your club members, for the help given at EME with stewarding duties.

The support was superb, people turned up on time and were visible to the modelling public. This was fantastic for me, because with it being a first show I found myself rushing about the place and didn't see half of the traders in the main hall, let alone get to chat to the guys on the club displays. Hopefully next time I'll be both more organised and have fewer problems to deal with on the day.

Most important though, and this is where I feel special thanks is needed, is that the atmosphere of the show is being commented on - it seems that visitors felt that the whole atmosphere had improved in comparison to previous years and that to quite a large part is down to you and your club members when they were stewarding.

So, in case you didn't know, we're going to do it all over again next year, taking into account the comments so we can adjust some aspects of the competition, and I really hope that you'll all have enjoyed yourselves enough to come along with your displays and perhaps offer your services as stewards again.

The dates for next year are Saturday the 22nd and Sunday the 23rd of September.

The very best of wishes to you all, and again, thank you for your support.

Adrian Hopwood.

Same for me. I also read that they have (fortunately) changed the judging system,  now "open", with few categories (unfortunately flats still mixed with figurines .), and visiting is expensive = 7 GPB per day and per person!!

Rendez-vous to next years if comments are positive...

This weekend will be the new revised version of Euromilitaire in Folkestone Kent. The show is held on both Saturday and Sunday.

The new show has been conceived by modellers for modellers, the original concept first brought to us by Ray Lamb and Lynn Sangster.

The BFFS will of coarse be there to add our support. If you have a free weekend then give it a go and come and see us :)

I hope to see many of you there

Nicholas
