I thought maybe a harem with the wives/concubines laying about on couches, pillows, a sunken bath, etc, along with some potted palms and other background pieces might look nice.

Glen

I've seen that done, I just need to find it again. Wish me luck.  :)

Well, I've seen a few slave market pieces, but they're not something I had considered. They were basically nude or stripped to the waist standing next to the seller - usually some large sweaty guy... There's no tease and all you're painting are basic fleshtones. I thought maybe a harem with the wives/concubines laying about on couches, pillows, a sunken bath, etc, along with some potted palms and other background pieces might look nice. They're as close as I can get to the traditional pinup types that I like. I'm sure it's out there, but I don't recall seeing any. I did find some porn pieces, but I have no interest in those...

Hello Glen,

what do you think about a slave market ??? There are nice figures of Gottstein, Ochel, etc.

Best regards

Michael

Cheers Glen.
Keep on searching and I bet there's some interesting stuff in the Playboy mansion basement!  :o

The pieces look good, Roger.

@alfsboy: I know there's a bazillion 30mm pieces out there, but I'm still looking for the long lost cache of 30mm pinups. There's a rumor that they're buried in a sub-basement of the Playboy Mansion...

There are certainly plenty of 30's to go round and tempt painters .I am fighting to paint some small sets instead of picking one out and pouring my soul into before forgetting the rest and moving on .

Thanks very much Charles. I am really into the 30mm's at the moment and can't get enough of them, particularly late 19th century stuff.
My tastes change like the weather though so next week it might be something different.  :D

Nicely done Roger, glad that you are still painting the little guys.
Not seen these figures before, good to see something different.
