I find the painting excellent !!! détails, shadows ...
the only small comment I would make to myself, is the fitting with the climate in Scotland ... the skin there is usually rather pale instead of more brick red (unless for red hair people). It gives a global tone a bit too red to the group.

I can assure you anyone who spends much of their time in the open air, soldiers, sailors, farmers etc, do not have pale skin no matter what climate they live in. In fact if you have spent anytime in the wind and the rain of the north of Scotland it is much redder than how I have depicted.  ;D I know from experience.  :) :) :)
