Thank you Sandor. It is all painted in oils.
This is a strip & repaint as I wasn't happy with the original. Now I think I will select another from the figs. I have in this set.  ;)

Did you use oils or acrylics (or by steps both)?

Are you going to paint more figures of this set?

I knew the history of the Staff of Louis XIV was a little more involved than I wrote, mine was the simplified version to make sure I didn't make a mistake.  ;D

The Louis XIV staff set was first issued by Gottstein
Bretegnier bought the moulds which are now in C Terana's hands; some of the moulds has been lost or destroyed and reengraved by Lepeltier
A double set has been engraved in the eighties by Rieger for Paul Krog
