Amazing that time has passed so quickly! Thanks to all, especially to Mark, for their time and effort to make this site what it is.
We have a fantastic site here - we just need to get the word out.

Yes a happy birthday indeed, do I get a pressie? ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

As everyone is aware, this site would not have been possible, or even as good, if it hadn't been for Mark, and I for one am very grateful for the time and effort he has contributed. So a very big thank you to him from me.    THANK YOU ;D

Well done Moderators ;)

For those of you who have yet to post, please do, we would be very interested to hear from you. The more the merrier 8)

As is always stated, by joining the Society, there are a lot more sections to view, along with a workbench, where figures are painted from start to finish, with many photos of the progress, this alone is very informative and an excellent  teaching tool.

In the mean time, keep painting, but most of all enjoy it.                            Nicholas

Happy Birthday IFFS-BFFS Site

Most of you are probably unaware tomorrow, 12/3 marks the one year anniversary of the new BFFS site!

This site was built on the substantial work of the previous one which still has a warm spot in many a heart.  Hopefully this one will continue to thrive and carry on that happy tradition.  So far after one year -

    271 members
    5811 posts in 508 topics
    1736 gallery pictures
    47 online articles
    190 links
110 BFFS online journals with index

First of all - thank you everyone, I am grateful for all the participation and willingness to share ones work and thoughts.  For this type of site we can boast of a fairly active community and I expect we will continue to march forwards in this regard.

(Maybe by this time next year we can boast of 500 active users?)

A particular thanks to our Moderators who have all been very active participants and thankfully very inactive in terms of moderation duties - we are a very polite group.

Also be aware for the early members who signed on using PayPal last year, memberships will be coming due at the end of the year.  I extended everyone through the end of the year but, the time is coming soon where memberships will start coming due.  There will however be a new option announced soon for a slightly cheaper online option for membership.

For me personally the time spent on the site has become less and less as time goes on and the experience as a whole has been more rewarding than I expected with lots of new friends, new avenues to explore and some fascinating content.

(I also I have painted a good 50 flats this year and acquired a good 300 which I am guessing is not unusual - further updates on living forever are forthcoming.)

I have a few ideas for the new year, I would love to hear from some of yours as well?  (More suggestions from the user base would be great.)  Regardless, hopefully we can as a group continue to share, grow and thrive?

Thank you and happy birthday to all  8)
