Hi Nick! Great to see you back with us and painting.
Hope next year gives you a little respite from your work duties and more time to enjoy painting.

Hi Eric ;D.  Not so much a body builder but as explained in the article ;) she is Polynesian / Hawaiian and as she obviously swims a lot, she is toned rather than being a body builder. I must admit the photos are very harsh on the contrast of the ribs etc. this being far more pronounced than when looking at the actual painted figure. I will however be toning it all down again as I increase the high lighting. :).  Hopefully it will all correct itself by the end ;D

Although stuck with work :(. I have over the last couple of months started an article for the journal in the new year. It will be over 2/3 depending on time and is under the title.

The 10 Golden tips for painting a successful figure.

This is a ‘warts and all’ article ( mistakes, senior moments etc. included )from start to finish with loads of photos and is based on Hira and Tirinau, the Mike Taylor Figure.

The first article is the painting of Hira .A few bits to correct  :o and finish but this gives you an idea.
