No worries Bob I appreciate your efforts for me.

This type of hunt has proven interesting as well given I am at the stage of my life that I can vividly remember pieces of information in my mental filing cabinet but, have no idea where the information or piece of material actually resides.  This has made for some interesting hunts as I try to remember if I have something, have donated or given it away somewhere...

I suppose next I will forget the original piece of information and I will start acquiring books and figures a second or third time...perhaps this will be my method to getting to 10,000 figures.

Thanks again Bob.

Cheers Bob.

I have the old catalog from when they were sold by Krog:

If your list is different I would love to add it to the site as well.

It is a set that seems to appear quite frequently - normally unpainted or partially painted.

Hello Marko

I have the original list (Kollbrunner version) which identifies all the figures.
In this list they have a Ha number do your figures have this number or perhaps you could post illustrations of the figures so that I can cross reference them to the list, if that's any help.
regards
 Bob

Yes, thank you for the assist Bob, though this fact I did discover as well.

Most of the characters are based on Holbein paintings which is quite fascinating to compare - Frank was quite an extraordinary engraver.  I am guessing all or most of them are based on a painting or drawing of the time but, I am still hunting for a few.  A couple of the figures are also fairly obscure as well.

I found in doing some research for the Bohenfest - a set engraved by Mohr - to have share this same characteristic with the figures being based on a number of characters out of paintings.

For me anyway, an interesting way to match my hobby with a bit of history, my other passion.

Hello Marco
Another good source for these are the paintings of Henry's court by Holbein, a google search should find them.

Hi mark its me again I do not know much about the set but on dressing I think I can help ??? Tudor Costume and Fashion by Herbert Norris this book covers about everything you would want to know about clothing of that Period. It has a color section with all the big players of the time Henry, wives,  :o You name it covers it. :o I got this book when I was working for the National Park Service at the Lost Colony at Manteo NC.  :o Also the Chronicle of Western Costume by John Peacock is another good one to use. If you have some information on the background/design of this set can you let me know via Message please?  I am doing an article for the Journal and some background would be very helpful.
