Brian, you are forcing me to go back to the atelier NOW !!!!
OK, then I will start working on the second Scottish piekeman, as the first one was started before initiating the project ....
It is the flat WM193, a Scott holding a Guisarme (probably taken to an English , which was rather their own favourite weapon, than the long pike...)
It is just taken from the remaining pièces from Dick.
Thereore I have some preparatory tasks before starting the painting this week:
1) I think cut the pike above the upper blade of the guisarme ?
2) Sharpen the blades and the points of the guisarme
3) Re-shape the two sidemays points based on photographs from guisarmes
4) As usual with my flats now, remove (cut) and shape the left pointing side of the support base of the flat, as I do for all framed flats (one sided painted), and sharpen the opposite side to enter easily in the carton-plume slit put on the frame.
5) Clean the edges and details of the flat; prior to undercoating...
