Judging from the postings on E Bay, some Chinese sellers have figured it out and post shipping prices to the USA with "all tariffs included" language. I recently dealt with someone from Italy who knows the tariff costs and I agreed to pay them. So it CAN be done, tho probably a little more work. At least for the short term we had better learn to live with the way things are, or learn to do without.

what about the sendings from private to private, like on EBay, or gifts sent for free to US citizens?
My understanding of the situation is that they’ve not explained the necessary procedures/paperwork needed to ship packages.. I don’t know if this applies to person to person because customs declarations were sometimes needed In the past to send a parcel.  Possibly sending one small flat in an envelope with a letter may go undetected by customs. Some of the retailers said they are in limbo till things are explained.

This also means The Little Tin Solder will be in limbo in ordering flats from Europe to sell to his American customers! Jack was at the National Capitol Show with a few new items that he received prior to the change in de minimus rule.

The Little Tin Toy Soldier has indeed for me too be an outstanding reference for the supply of flats, however with the recent wonderful decisons of your White House administration with regards to custom taxes, we can't order flats from the USA anymore and personnally I wish to ban any purchase of US products and trip to the USA for the rest of my life, with such coercitive strategy so I would not help me to acquire flats from the USA anymore at least till a new administration is installed and revert some of the decisions taken this year.

But it is certainly the best source of EU flats in the USA even if you pay them higher than last year ...

I do agree with Brian that IFFS Committee should now also react and provide its input on these discussions and development of flat paintings.
Let us see how log it shall take to read them as a proof of their involvement in the activities of the site, outside their annual AG.

I now that Mark is daily devoted to the excellent functioning of the site, and is responding promptly to requests adresed to him : thank you very warmly Mark for your ongoing support alsmost 365 days a year, each year of the past decades !!!!!  I have yself backlog with my entries on galleries these weeks ....

It is a pleasure to read that long lasting Members are reacting and offering their support on commenting... proving the site is still alive... It is the first step.

Can only echo and repeat these posters about Jack and his website.  Perhaps add that Jack can probably source and obtain any needed or wanted flats.  Much appreciate the Little Tin Soldier!

The Little Tin Soldier is a New York based flat figure dealer. Jack Muldoon is still very much in business as of this posting, and can be reached through his website:  https://www.thelittletinsoldier.com For the USA he is our main source of flat figures.
When googling, it helps to google "The Little Tin Soldier Flat figures" to avoid all the other references to The Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale and similar hits.

For those of us in the United States I know that Jack at The Little Tin Soldier has come up a number of times for his excellent customer service and selection.  I wanted to echo that experience for some flower figures I ordered that were not online but, that he did have in stock, shipped to me immediately and baby sit me through entering an old mail address.

I found him very engaged and the whole an excellent experience - thanks to Jack I am three flower fairies richer.  In future I will certainly check with him prior to ordering some figures from overseas.
