A big welcome to the new members from me too, we have our yearly meeting in April so why not join us on the Saturday for a chat and drink, a few of the members will be staying over, and come along to the meeting on Sunday.
The Associates are encouraged to be there but don't expect to have to much of a say at the AGM, that's for the members hahaha

why do people not join the society?  associates are guests only on the forum , , if they like to Promote this great pastime of ours why not join in collectively ?

There is a mixture of both Members and Associates with the bulk being the latter at this point.  And I suspect there would be a few of both willing to assist at shows as well.

P.S. And for those not in the know Associates are free on the site and welcome to post, have a Gallery and join in here as well as at shows.  Members also receive the Society Journal and have access to 120 back issues of it as well as an additional section on the site but, Membership does cost a nominal yearly fee. 


Entirely your choice in the matter, there is no down side in the matter but, a huge up side - the Journal is quite COOL and membership helps keep the Society going!

There has been a happy flood of new members on the site - Welcome all!


You will find the site a wealth of information hopefully with an amazing gallery of work to review in the Gallery as well of a large number of Flat Related articles in the Knowledge Base.  Hopefully you have some time on your hands, there is a great deal of content here to take in.


Also to note as an Associate or Member on the Site you have the ability to create and show figures in your own Gallery.  There is a How To in FAQ as well as some information in the Report a Problem thread.


And if you have any issues or just need some help please feel free to reach out to me or there are a number of helpful moderators on the site as well.


Finally, most happily if you have a question about flats - identification, availability or painting there is always someone helpful here.
