not so Michel, I am always looking to see what other techniques I can pick up. :)

I use glazes occasionally to smooth out certain looks if I feel they need them, but always with the same colour. Do I gather from your statement  then that you put other colours over different ones???

ummm, I feel a need to experiment. more advice would be very useful  ;)

Hello friends of flats,

in school I learned for painting you only need yellow, blue  and red. The other colors you can mix ...

And why I have 40 different colors to use ???

Best regards

Ohh Nick I have some 60 small tubes, but not all are on use.
However I try to enrich colours by glazes now to make them deeper, with little touches.....
But I have to revert you the question and learn from you, nit you from me, dear !! Your paintingas are quiet impressive.

Whatever works best for you fella's and I agree Nick my wife thinks I collect paints like I collect figures and she's probably right but personally I think my best results have been when using a fairly limited palette.  :)

well as my daughter says, she can never have enough shoes, and therefore I can never have enough paints!! ;D ;D ;D

my collection consists of 40.  although I mix a lot more as I am on the Gondola so they all appear different. Maybe it is too many colours :-\    Michel you can let me know in Ransart  ;)

Good suggestion to me, because I am using more & more colours, not the right direction.

I'm not sure I could do it again Michel but I think the secret is to use as limited palette as possible.

Inspiration takes sometimes time to crystallize!
But wathcing it again, look at the hair, the sweetness of the tones.... it is really beautiful and quiet unusual in its colours and brightness.  I vey nice achievement rarely seen before!

Thank you very much Michel. It's funny because this figure has been quite well received here and on other forums. I actually put it aside for months because I wasn't happy with it. It only took a couple of hours work to finish it off, strange how things work out.

He's rather nice Roger.

After starting the Gondola and now the 30mm project figure, I am now back into small mode :)
