Standing by...

If possible, I would like one of the pieces where the rider is wearing the helmet - GO 1805 or 1807. I plan on buffing the metal and oil staining it rather using straight paint. Otherwise, basic browns for the horse and tack; browns, tans, and greys for the figures. If I understand my research correctly, nearly all of the participants had similar clothing, weapons, and equipment. How did they tell each other apart - colored feathers, armbands, etc.?

Cheers,

Glen

Ok, we're going to start. I'll be getting the figures in a week or two to send out to those who want to take part. Same conditions as last time, receive your figure, paint it and return. Ask any questions on the forum so that we can all join in with your painting of the figure. We'll let you all know when they're in the post and remember it's not too late to join in if you haven't already.

Thanks Marko, but I've already seen this site as well as a myriad other pics from the googlenet. I don't lack for reference material on any color of horse; it's the execution that's got me worried. Must uphold the standards, y'know.  ;)

They have pictures of all of the major types and groups of horses with quite a lot of variation as you will see.

Well that's 10 already, and Glen horses are easy  ::) it's just getting them right that's the hard part  ;)

Oh well... Silly me. Had I but known...

Been bouncing around Google images of the TYW. Browns and tans seem to be the dominant color for people. Brown for horses.

Brown, brown, and more brown.

Are you sure there weren't any pinup babes in the TYW!?  ;D

Well, I suppose I have to learn how to paint a horse. I'm willing to do it if you want to send me one. Painting refs (interweb links are fine) would be helpful as well since I don't have any refs for that period of European history.

Just a reminder this is for all not just BFFS members, you get a figure to paint for free ;) but it must be returned so it can be mounted.

So a free figure to paint and you have a year to do it!! what you waiting for put your name down ;D

For the first first from me a big thank you for your trust.

Unfortunately, it has unfortunately not worked with the return of the figures on Brain as we thought ds.
Thus, this club respectable men could not all the characters in the shows be präsend to show color ..
How Brain already wrote, the success speaks for itself dennoc, we are well on the way.
Thus, the selected figures number is also diemal offer you are. And I will again sponsor the figures.

OUR MISSION! "Kulmbach 2015"

I wish all participants much fun when succeed. ;) ;) ;)
best regards
Wolfgang

Well, if there any foot figures, I'd jump right in. Horses, however, are not my forte...

Were there any pinups in the TYW?  ::)
