On the subject of the Light Brigade set, does anybody have the line drawings? I have the figures, and the list in the catalogue and the Gottstein book, but have never seen the illustrations.

I'm sure someone can give a clue to contacting the appropriate people to ask questions,   The Leipzig collectors maybe?

So no one got any ideas of who to talk to?

For a minute there Chris, I thought you meant who were the BFFS

I think it stands for that choir group,

the BIRMINGHAM FLAKEY FLAN SINGERS

I thought the Leipzig collectors had snaffled them. If you know any different Brian I would consider making an offer for the moulds myself.

"I would think these are very Anglophile and maybe not a subject dear to the German hearts, and the moulds will need some work. So I am not sure they will be a priority, but there are some great figures amongst them".

Would have been good if the BFFS could have help with this set!!  but hay ho ::)

Here are a couple of lancers, just started on the horses. A grey for the trumpeter, a light chestnut for the trooper.

Brian, just to make you envious I have unearthed my set and started painting them, that's a massive project for me. I had quite a bit of cleaning up to do, and there are areas of limited detail but I think they are serviceable. All are now undercoated and ready. When I have done a bit more I will post some on the "Workbench".
I would think these are very Anglophile and maybe not a subject dear to the German hearts, and the moulds will need some work. So I am not sure they will be a priority, but there are some great figures amongst them.
By the way, if anyone out there knows how to get hold of any of the Russians from that set, I would be very pleased to find out.

Dear Mark,

they will be back as far as I know. The Leipzig collectors community has overtaken most of the moulds (exept the Murten sets) . So these figures will be available again though I don“t know any schedule.

Best

Alexander

One piece of news I did not hear mentioned from our Kulmbach contingent was the fate of the slates from Krog.  Was there any news as to a new owner on these wonderful figures?  Hopefully someone has purchased them and they are back on the market again...

My collection seems to have a definite liking for this Editor along with Western Miniatures.
