Turn your muse loose, Ed. These are fine figures that offer a wide range of colors and interpretations. I'm sure you will do a great job.

Thanks for the info on him guys. I didn't know he did the four seasons. I had painted them several years ago. Not as well as some versions I have seen though. I have attached a copy of my version.

Most of Detlev's Mucha flats are sold through Jupiter Miniatures now.  They are also on EBay.de quite frequently, they are very reliable.

P.S. He also did Mucha's the arts and four seasons.  Stephanie Coudert has versions of each in her gallery.

The other pieces of work are on the gallery of Montrouge 2016, as said.

He is preparing a web contact during 2016, but I am sure that your importer The Little Tin Soldier in the US has more contact with him and is able to import some of his flats already.

Besides Monrouge, Detlev told me he would open a stand at Sèvres, (erhaps in Folkestone?)

For contact, please refer to http://www.intflatfigures.org/index.php?topic=2738.0

Thanks for the info. Where is Mr. Belaschk located? Is there a contact for him and do you know what else he has done?

This flat is one of last works of Detlev Belaschk, presented at Montrouge show in Paris in April 2016.  He cmes back into business and will be also at Sèvres 2016 early December.

Please refer to the pictures of the Montrouge show, and adjacents:

Excellent choice of figure and interesting challenge.  All of these flats based on Mucha are quite beautifully engraved and paint up beautifully.

Have fun with this.

All,

While I was at the MFCA show I stopped by the booth being run by Jack Muldoon, who is the only flat seller in the USA.  I bought a large flat that is based upon a ALfonse Mucha painting. Mucha is one of my favorite artists and I enjoy painting the flats that are based on his works. I have two pictures, one of the uncleaned flat as it was bought and a painting guide that was attached. I am not sure if I will paint it the same colors as Mucha did or take liberties. I am not  very strict when I am copying another's work, but use my own color schemes. I will post of my works that I have completed based upon Mucha in other posts. I plan to do in progress shots as I work on this.
