Yes, beautifully done.  A most promising start in flats awaits.

Nicely done! I like the modifications. I should probably finish the one I have.

Cheers,

Female Viking Warrior - 120mm Mil Mart Miniatures

This is my very first flat, painted last year in February 2013 with oil.
I started figurine painting in November 2011 with acrylic, and painted a dozen of figures from a bust 200mm to one old 54mm Airfix British flat of 54mm and ten 19 mm dwarfs and 1:72 other plastic and metal fantastic characters.  I moved to oil end of 2012, and discover flats at Ransart in January 2013.

This flat is the fantasy “Female Warrior” from Mil-Mart Miniatures, demi-ronde flat made in resin. It is 117mm high, a scale of 200mm (1:9)
.

I painted it as a “Female Viking Warrior” and made first some minor conversion on the shield, to make it round and add a xx on the sword, and brought some corrections to the umbo, the right thigh, the chest, the abdomen, and the shield umbo with Milliput, as shown on the second picture. Then it was white primed (Skull white Citadel bomb), and oil painted.

It took me one month to adjust the tones, lights and shadows. It was eventually framed with a black velvet self-adhesive background.
