Looks like the set is competed.  Well done, really like the females incorporated into the scene.  Excellent paint work!

Great presentation of excellently painted flats.  Appreciate the sharing of the artwork as well of a not often seen time period for Japanese material.

Some of you may know that Michael Creese died recently. A,very early member, and Past Secretary, of the Society an excellent obituary by his friend and fellow painter Rob Williams, was published in The Journal. Michael had an enormous collection of both Flat and Round figures, some of which Chris Seeley and I took to the AGM yesterday, and the remainder of which will be sold in a series of on line auctions by Lacey Scott, beginning on 2 May 2025, if any members would like to acquire examples of his work.

Gallery / 2 Fishermen and a few japanese
« Last post by Erich on April 14, 2025, 05:49:33 AM »
Here a few more figures painted in the last months
the "2 Fishermen" are from my Jantz - Collection
and the Japanese I had painted for the Goslar Meeting
The older Samurai is angry by the clothing of the 2 younger men, which absolutely doesn`t match his expectations.  The figures are designed after a picture by S. Lunyakow, which can be seen inthe book from Till Weber about the Bakumatsu period (available in English too)
