I bought the flats on eBay as I wanted some flats painted by my old friend. I was hoping to get one of his dioramas and have been watching for an auction but apparently they were auctioned off a short while ago, so a bit disappointed.

In the BFFS we had two Mike Taylor's, Mike from Kent  the other Mike from Cannock in Staffordshire, I believe these are Mike "Cannock" Taylor figures.

Both great guys on longer with us.

I saw two sets on EBay.UK sold by them and one set already sold (for less tha 20 GBP), partly painted, not significant pieces, in my opinion.but I don't know Mike personally andabout the painter .... have a doubt

Figure Identification/Search / Re: Fechner Wagons

Yes, thank you, I did just find these on the excellent Kieler site under Fechner - they seem to have purchased some of their moulds.  (It's maddening when you know that you have seen something but, can't remember where....  Now I must order these before it flits away again.)

P. S. One wonders if some Neckels wonderful figures will find their way here as well?

General Discussion / Visit to Munich advice request

In November will be spending a few days in Munich before heading East to Salzburg.  Am seeking recommendations or notices of shops, stores, and vendors that sell flats, miniature soldiers, or militaria in the region.  Am attempting to be efficient with time.  Thank you

General Discussion / Beware - Michael Taylor flats from UK seller: TimeCaptive
« Last post by rm on August 06, 2025, 09:31:22 AM »
Seller (UK) is listing flats painted by “Michael Taylor.”

When questioned, seller states that it is not the author (so he knows who Michael Taylor is), but instead is a friend of the author with the exact same name.

Seller is using the name to sell the flats, but doesn’t note anywhere that the flats are not painted by THE Michael Taylor.

I find this misleading, personally.

Just informing for clarity in case any of you come across those listings.

The figure is a Heinrichsen figure, Napoleon at the Battle of Jena 1806.

Thank you; I very much appreciate the information.
