Thank you for your mail, Claudio!
Here are the pictures:

I would be interested in buying ANY of the above figures - painted (also poorly painted ones) or unpainted ones.
Best regards-
Sandor

perhaps no enough interest for figurines and flats in the UK ?
Are there as many clubs, associations, sites, forums as in France, Germany, Italy or Spain? for such hobby?
How many pieces are presented on average
Are contests open like on the continent, or rewarrding only the top three painters, therefore attractin less participants to the benefit of the best only?

Who knows more about such UK activities?

Kind regards,

Shows / Sèvres 2025 by AFH November 29-30th, 2025
« Last post by Hannibal on December 06, 2025, 07:35:21 AM »
The 44th annual show and contest of Sèvres by the AFH (Les Amis de la Figurine et de l'Histoire) took place at the SEL in Sèvres on November 29-30th, 2025.
I could attend most part of the show ecept the end, so I don't have statistics and the awards given yet.
However as far as Flats and Half Round Figures are concerned, I can give you the following statistics:

Categories & Levels (*):
- Open and creation:     9 names - 14 pieces
- Master:                    24 names - 42 pieces
- Confirmed:               21 names - 52 pieces
- Novices:                   12 names - 21 pieces
- Dioramas:                  3 names -   4 pieces
- Creation unpainted:    1 name   -   2 pieces

                      Total      63 Artists(**) - 135 pieces registered
(** total 71 but 8 ones registered in more than one category, or in combination)

+ the Carrousel of Louis XIV in 1661, = 5 quadrilles by one painter, just exposed, but who was in competition at the 50th anniversary MMSI show in Chicago this year, with a silver award (see separate Show Gallery)

I am working on the pictures (about 250) of these categories/levels in that above sequence liste above (*), and selected among some 740 pictures from seven photographers, and which shall be loaded into the Show Gallery in the coming weeks, with the awards received. Thank you for your patience.

Gallery Pictures / Re: Ottoman Janissaries

Thank you both!

In truth, I could have done much better had I painted a smaller group, or painted more slowly. But I’m going for the mass effect of large groups, partly to tackle my large pile of unpainted flats! These eight figures are the most I’ve ever painted at one time..

More to come as I work through the rest of this set, and other janissaries..

Enjoyed Bugle Call, this year we were in one of the rooms so out of the draft from the main doors. Peter Young was unable to come due to a car breakdown so I had to put something together myself. Sadly, flats were in short supply on the club stands this year, none that I saw and only four entries in the competition, so I got a bronze and a highly commended.
Nevertheless, had some nice chats and feedback from various people through the day.
