Title: We have gone quiet
Post by: marko on August 08, 2013, 03:25:03 PM
Quiet today -  I suspect due to a large contingent off to Kulmbach - and probably for a few days to come.  Hopefully they will take and upload many pictures...that are oriented around flats vs. pub crawling etc.

Have great travels, good talk, fine beer and an excellent show with full suitcases on the way home!

P.S. Very jealous from a different continent.
P.P.S.  Beware the three musketeers or perhaps three Mousketeers is closer...

I was thinking the same, however I'm back from my holiday and busy painting.

Well, the temps here are in the 100s (F), so it's too hot to play with the MGs - driving or maintenance. I've been keeping cool working on a scratch-built flat, a flat conversion, and a fantasy bust. Oh, and whiling away my time on the computer.

n an attempt to provide something of interest until the first Kulmbach reports come in this is what I am painting at the moment.
Cortum, http://www.carl-zinnfiguren.de/ 30mm Ottoman Sipahi c.1500-1690.
Is there anyone else doing any painting?

Nice start on this Roger.

I have a number of Cortum's figures all beautifully done and eminently paintable as is this.

Thank you Mark.
I agree Cortum figs are really very good, I spend more time admiring them in their naked form than painting them, I should really get on with them.

Little update on this afternoons work.

Unpainted might have have been a better choice of word than naked but but anyone Googling naked stuff wouldn't have found our site.  ;D

Good to hear they are back and the Kingdom is safe though the same cannot be said for a stray maiden or lager...
