Title: ID of the Mayan Flat
Post by: rm on July 24, 2025, 07:38:34 PM
I’ve always admired this. Anyone know who made this? Quadri Concept, maybe?

Robert,
you can ask Jacques Seurin on Facebook - maybe he can help you in this question.

Thank you, Erich.

I did send him a message, but he may never see it, as we are not FB friends and such messages are hidden by FB.

Thank you, Michel. It is just different enough in style from the others, that I was not certain.

Now, let the search begin! I’d love to paint one.

ok RM

Quadri Concept is a French editor head by Louis Becavin, old man today, who is no longer selling directly, nor on media or EBay since several years.  My last meeting with him was in Paris 6 to 8 yers ago, when I bought hime half of his catalogue.

I see several way to attempt finding this flat:

1. Make a query on this forum to the members wwhic coold have one to leave to you .... But with Facebook, less members and visitors are coming on the site like all other forums, unfortunately...

2. Many flats are distributed in the USA (NY?) by The Little Tin Toy Soldier"; If you contact them, they cold try to contact Mr Becavin and negotiate whether it is possible to get one shipped to the USA?

3 Contact directly Mr Louis Becavin by email or telephone and nagotiate whether he has still some esidual inventory left in his premisses ...

I am not at home before two months minimum, so little access to my materials.

Best regards

Michel

Thank you, Michel. I very much appreciate your help.

I do work with Mr. Muldoon at the Little Tin Soldier with some frequency. I actually placed an order yesterday, and I did, just a few weeks back, check to see if he had any Quadri Concept flats, but he has none.

I will make a general “looking for” post in the correct forum.

I will also reach out at the email you have provided.

Just as an update, the email for Mr Louis Becavin no longer works. The message I sent yesterday came back undeliverable this morning.

Thank you, Michel.

Below is the delivery rejection I received this AM (it took several hours to come back to me). I believe it is the same address. I do very much appreciate you trying.

I did just hear back from Mr. Muldoon. He re-checked and found some old QC pieces. He is sending a list.

Fingers are crossed.

Bonjour
Les années passent 😩
J'ai toujours dispo cette figurine, je possède tous mes moules donc pas de problème.
Votre figurine est super bien peinte, c'est la 1ère fois que je la vois ainsi.
A votre dispo.
Cordialement

Louis Becavin

Im sorry to say, the shown figure, is NOT a Quadre concept figure, and the mentioned figure AC4 Guerrier Maya. is firing his bow.
The picture shown is a much thicker flat (semi ronde bosse) than Quadre Concepts figures

I too noticed that it is not shown in the catalog, but Mr. Bevacin states in his email (above) that it is his figure and that the photo is very nicely painted example of his flat?
