In the Battle of Murten (https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schlacht_bei_Murten) Hans Waldmann led the main contingent of the Swiss troops.

The figure came from the “Schlacht bei Murten” series of Eugen Blum, figure number 117,
engraved by Sixtus Maier.

Nice painting. I like the colour of the horse.
These Blum figures are really fine.

Very nice painting, the technique on the face is very effective.
