Hi Guys,
recently picked up a couple of larger sets, one is the siege of Troy, some scaling ladders, archerers firing up etc. and also figures for the top of the wall trying to repel.
The Second is a large group of assyrian chariot, cavalry and assorted infantry.
What would you suggest for reference for painting these sets?
The input of this estemed body of experts is greatly appreciated ;D

For basics in Osprey series :
"Ancient armies of the middle east" by Terence Wise and Angus Mc Bride
"Ancient Assyrians", by Marc Healy and Angus Mc Bride (Elite serie)
"The ancient Greeks", by Nick Segunda and Angus Mc Bride (Elite series)
You will also find very nice painted sets from this period in Gian Paolo Bistulfi web site : www.zinnfiguren-bistulfi.com
