Hello,
here is a figure I painted last week.
I found the colour among the drawings of K. A. Wilke. It shows the scottish cross of St. Andrew together with french fleurs de lilies and a crowned "L". So I think this colour belonged to the french Garde Escossais, a regiment which exsists from 1635 to 1662.
It suffered heavy losses at the battle of Tuttlingen 1643 when a bavarian / imperialist army supported by lorraine and spanish troops surprised a french army at camp. The french army was made up by french troops and german mercants including the Garde Escossias.
The figure was edited by Thomas Beier of the Klio.

Sorry I mixed up: the drawings I have of Wilke are about the lifeguards of Wallenstein.
I also have very nice drawings (aquarelles) about the musketeers of Luis XIII - but I don't know the author.

Thank you.
K.A. Wilke did some drawings of soldiers of the thirty years war. I think these drawings are now stored in a museum in Lausanne. You may found some works on this homepage: http://www.tercios.fr/category/histoire-odb-uniformes/organisation/
I try to do my very best about hard drinks, Sandor. Cheers!

Very nice figure Christoph
Is it still available from mr Beier ? Do you have a contact address ?
About Wilke, his works are in the Morges Museum near lausanne; they were in the Raoul Gérard collection
The late Christian Terana issued some 30 years ago a reprint with all the drawings of Wilke's works in Black and White but with all texts and descriptions of the uniforms and colors
Unfortunately to big a work to numerise and download

Hello Eric,
the e-mail of Mr. Beier is tbc-CUX@t-online.de (mailscripte/mail_variabel.php?adresse=tbc-CUX@t-online.de) (taken from the KLIO homepage)
Of course this figure is still available, as well as a new group with three footsoldiers fighting for a colour.
