Hello,
here are pictures of two stradiots of the time around 1500 as they have been seen in the Italian wars.Stradiots were light horsemen coming from the area which is today called Albania. They were embloyed as mercaneries frist by the italian states and later by France as well.

Thank you.
It is a bit strange that there are not more figures of this type of horsemen around, as they formed an important part of the light cavalary in the Italian wars. And they were the first eastern european light horsemen who went into western european service as mercaneries. So it can be said that this was the beginning of what later ended up as hussars in many european armies. The artists Urs Graf of Basel and Niklaus Manuel Deutsch of Bern (how both fought in the Italian wars) made drawings of this type of horsemen.
There are some figures of them edited by Carl and some by Wagner. But I´m not sure if those formerly edited by Wagner went on to Mr. Dangelmaier. All of this figures were drawn by Mr. Martin Block who sadly passed away in June.
