Just recieved these from 2D ;)
Originally drawn by John Tenniel for Lewis Carrol, these were designed by Michael Taylor, and as you can see they are Beautifully drawn and cast.
The set also includes the Red King asleep under the tree, but this will be put into another display I am planning.

I finished all of these myself - they were definitely fun to paint. As you say beautifully designed and cast.
Have fun!

They are rather nice.
I am trying to do mine as the Tenniel original, except in his illustrations they had blue bow tie's. I will colour co-ordinate mine with their caps, as they were at school :(

Hi Joe & Nick
Joe after seeing your painting of the two @ MFCA show they looked good! ;) Nick Lovely set..been lucky some while back to have seen the origanal illustration Tenniel did for Carrol, and having seen Mike T's set, the colours etc could be painted as you like, but sticking to the origanal Tennial colouring would be correct I Guess, looking forward to seeing you progress on the set... Gerry.

Gerry, , I will start posting as I get bits done.
Most of it is straight forward, but having to be different ??? there is one area that I want to expand on and it will take a bit of working out. If it works, it could make the piece. ;)
