St George for me...
-
Thank You Kevin
-
And what about the Arthur serie ?
Eric
-
Hi Eric,
With regards the Arthur Series we will be continuing with the marriage figure but sales have currently stalled on the Merlin and Guinevere figures, so I hope at Kulmbach this may correct itself first.
As is the nature of the beast, not all members were interested in the Arthur Series, and some may not even be interested in the free figure we are producing, but we felt it was important that loyal members do receive something back for their continued dedication and support to the society, and this was one way to achieve that. It is also essential that all members have also been given the opportunity to vote. I hope you this is acceptable to you

Chinese warrior for me.Richard
-
Thanks Richard. added
-
There is no question about the free figure, it is a good idea to reward the true members
I am not sure to be much attracted by the different proposals but anyway I will be glad to get the one which will be chosen
About the Arthur serie I just think we must not stop even if some of the figures are not too successful; the subject is really interesting
Maybe could we look back to prices which I found rather high

Chinese warrior was my second choice.
-
Thank You Mauro
-
Are we going for the single transferable vote or the d'Hondt method?
-
Nick,
Chinese warrior for my vote.
cheers

Hé hé! Ed, this D'Hondt system invented by a Belgian mathematician is used in Belgium, but also in the United Kingdom!
-
Hi John, I notice on the forum heading you are only listed as an associate. This figure is only available to full members who have paid their full subs. If you are a full member please let me know so I can change your status :)
kind Regards Nicholas
-
I can assure you that John is a fully-paid-up member of long standing. A couple of issues have recently arisen about the status of members, so I must work with Mark to ensure everyone has the correct category of membership. My apologies to all concerned.

Hi all,
This is the final call for votes. At present S George is “ galloping “ away with the most votes.
Next week I will need to send the picture to Sascha for drawing so at Kulmbach I can select one of the editors to engrave it.
Nicholas
-
Nick, Would you kindly refer me to the images of the figures. Thanks
-
Hi Joe
-
Hi Nicholas,
don't forget to ask Regina Sonntag as a possible engraver. I think St. George and the Dragon will be
a great pleasure for her to do.

Roland
-
Thank you Roland, I will definitely go and see her in Kulmbach :)
-
Tomorrow will be 3 weeks till the eve when we set off for Kulmbach. If I have no further votes by tomorrow night, then I will be sending the picture of the winner (currently St George and the Dragon) to Sascha for first draw up.
As the Chinese warrior came in second, then I would be more than happy, should there be interest and sufficient finances to put this on the list for a future BFFS figure.
I know St George may not be to everyone’s taste, but I do hope you like it when it is engraved.
Nicholas
-
Whatever it is it will be a great pleasure to paint it !!!
-
Thanks Michel, see you and Nuray in kulmbach :)
-
Well here is the drawing for the engraving.
I hope you like it as much as I do. Jerry, is there time to put this in the journal?
-
Oh, that's cool !
-
Thanks Joerg, it is rather nice, even if I say so myself ::). It’s going to paint up very well.
Drawing will be in Kulmbach
-
Agree that this has massive potential and should paint up beautifully. Really nicely done!

Sascha is an excellent artist
-
two thumbs up from here ;)
-
Yes, will put it in the Journal, which is only half full so if anyone has an article they are sitting on, please send it in!
-
When the time comes to send out the figures, I will need postal addresses for ALL members. Could our online only members please send me a message giving me their full addresses.
Best wishes to all,

just an update,
Andreas Trost has agreed to engrave the figure, but due to him just having an operation, this may be slightly delayed. I am however assured these will be ready before the years end, but I have told him to await until he is fully recovered before he starts.
I wish Andreas a speedy recovery, and thank him for agreeing to engrave our figure.
Nicholas
-
Andreas always was my first choice as an engraver for our flat 8) speedy recovery Andreas!! :D
-
Just an update for the free figure.
Although Andreas agreed to engrave this figure, it is now rather unfortunate that he has had serious health issues and will no longer be able to do this for us.
I have therefore spoken to Daniel Lepeltier and he is more than willing to help out and engrave it for us instead. I was hoping to get the figure for the AGM, but due to his busy schedule and orders for the world expo, he cannot start engraving until early May.
The figure will be available from us at the world expo in Holland, but as soon as it has been cast by kind arrangement with Benedict Widdman (Jupiter miniatures) I will get copies sent to Ed and they will be forwarded on.
I apologise for this unforeseen delay and thank you for bearing with me.
To start with, It has been agreed by the committee that the figure will only be available to full members.
However, should everyone be happy thereafter to produce it as a commercial piece to create funds for other figures then this can be discussed at the appropriate time.
Many many thanks for your patience
Warmest Regards to all. Nicholas

waoouwwwwwwwwwwwwww !! Excellent news anyway ….
-
It's a sad update and a good one at the same time...
Sad for Andreas's health problem...good for Daniel Lepeltier and Benedikt Widdman collaboration.
Thanks, Nicholas

Well, a few good things are happening for the society at the moment. Firstly, having spent the past month sorting out a box load of figures into various editors and sets that have been donated to the society, I have or rather my dear wife has😄 managed to get them onto eBay. There are still a couple of sets and figures to sort out, but in total 75 lots have been added of which 24 have been sold. All proceeds will be put into the society coffers🙂. Firstly I would like to thank everyone who have bought figures thus supporting the society, it is highly appreciated. So far we have raised just over £200.
Secondly, as the title of this thread says ( Free Figure for full members ) this being fully paid up members not associates- I have just received the first figure ( trial casting ) from Daniel, and boy, what a figure!
The slates will shortly be sent to Benedict, who will kindly cast for us when he is able. Once done, these will be sent to Ed for posting out. I had hoped to be able to save postage by handing out figures at shows, ( yes I’m a cheapskate😲😂 ) but as we all know this certainly won’t be happening. I ask you to please bear with us, as I have no time scale yet for when Ed may receive them. I hope like me, you like the figure which is posted below.
Warmest regards to all and keep safe whilst happily painting🙂
This figure is not for general release, so you will need to join the society to receive one ;)

Hi Nick I am a full member and full it too ;D so they say.please put my name down . Willie
-
Very nice Nicholas ! I am happy that I am a full member ;)
-
Ed has the list of all full members, no problem👍 Hope you are both well :)
-
What a nice flat!!!
;D ;D ;D
-
Will be lots of fun! well done guys ;)
-
Indeed, a very nice scene !
There are a couple of German members.
Would it be worth thinking about giving Benedikt their addresses,
so that Benedikt could ship the "German" figures directly ?
I think it would save some amount of post fees for the Society.
-
That’s a good idea Joerg👍 Hope you are well🙂
-
You may add my name for Benedikt, he is sending grouped objects quarterely, some pendings since 3 months ….
-
Ok Michel🙂
Problem is Benedict usually casts as his Mothers house and because of all the lockdown precautions he can’t get there yet.
Patience is a virtue, all will turn out well in the end😄
-
Hope you are well🙂
Oh, yes, indeed, I am fine.
I have the privilegue going everyday in my office and sitting behind my screen.
Family is O.K., as well.
Only complaining is, that we are not allowed to meet collector friends or reenactment pals....
And, that the pubs are closed :(
-
Yes Nick, several acquisitions are also at his mother's home; I am patient and Benedikt is an excellent friend.
-
Great looking figure Nick well done. I have to say it was not my first choice but happy that your judgment is better than mine.
I am sure the members will join me in thanking you for all the work that you are doing on behalf of the society.
