Title: Figure identification wanted
Post by: plyoung on April 27, 2018, 04:33:02 AM

Dear All,
Attached is an image of Neckel's Bavarian Grenadiers c.1700 (which also includes two dismounted grenadiers by Scheibert on the left side of both rows).  At first I thought the figure on the bottom row in the white coat with red cuffs might be by a different maker too; perhaps Loy / Maier.  However, I contacted Frau Borgmann at Zinnfiguren Maier and she said it isn't a Maier figure.  Also, Marko kindly sent me the catalogues for Maier and Neckel but this figure does not appear in either of them.

Any help with identifying this figure will be much appreciated.

Best wishes, Peter

Hello Peter,
Looks like an Ochel figure to me. It´s an austrian grenadier not a bavarian.
Maybe it´s EÖ76c, have a look here: http://kieler-zinnfiguren.de/Listen/1700.html#55

"Dänke schön" Christoph for the Ochel website address.

Sadly, "ich spreche ein kleine deutsch".

I couldn't find an image for (Eö 76c).  But the written description of the figure matches the image I sent earlier.

Mit freundlichen Grüßen,
Peter
