Title: Native Americans.
Post by: Mike G on September 12, 2017, 11:38:50 AM
A friend of mine asked me to paint this small set of Mative Americans. They're about 70mm. I've never done anything over 30mm and the subject isn't really my thing but figured I'd give it a whack. I'm actually enjoying them - who knew....

It is always enjoyable to paint well designed/engraved/produced figures.  Those with fuzzy detail or poorly cast, not so much.  These are a bit different as to subject matter as well.

These guys are all by Sontag with editor "HM" which I'm not familiar with. Anyone know who that is?  The figures are well done - I always feel like sontags engravings look like they just came off of a renaissance fresco for some reason - I'm not sure why - but I like them
