Title: König Wilhelm I. and his staff at Königgrätz 1866
Post by: Silversurfer on September 08, 2017, 08:13:26 AM
After a long time of abstinence from painting flats, my friend Roland Simon inspired me to do it again and so I started with König Wilhelm I. of Prussia and his staff at Königgrätz 1866. The figures are from my favorite engraver Johannes Frauendorf.

Here also is the first figure, the King himself on his mount Aladin.
Hope you like it, some more will follow ;)

Yes, beautifully painted Thomas.  Please let me know where one can obtain Frauendorf figures for this era?

Hello plyoung,
thank you for your kind comment. I bought my figures at the Offizin Rainer Herfurth.
He had a stand on the Zinnfiguren-Börse at Kulmach this year. Because his website is not yet online,
here is his email address: rainer.herfurth@gmail.com
He certainly has a list of the types that he can send you.

Best Regards

Thomas

Hello,

I am new to flat figures, and I find them wonderful. I come from many years amassing armies in 18 mm, and then in 28mm. I have looked for this miniature, but it is not in Mr. Herfurth´s catalogue. Anybody could help with more information about it?
