Here's some figures from a Heinricshen set issued in 1887, Prinz Eugen. It depicts savage fighting at the Siege of Belgrade in 1717. It is 45 figures strong, about evenly divided between Imperialists and Ottomans. And of course, containing some nice figure groups.
Painted in acyrlics.

1887 impresses me no end and the painting is very nice indeed, I like how you paint the Austrian's coats. 8)

Your style of painting really brings these figures to life. I'm starting to like the look of these 40mm figures. I must get hold of some

Thanks very much, gentlemen.
Regarding this set, I hesitated for some time before buying it. To my eyes, the Austrians weren't quite right with the smallish hats and the coats should go to the knees. But it's an interesting period for me so I went for it.
There are a few other quirks with the set, such as infantry equipped with billhooks and about 1/2 of the Imperalist infantry figures are supposed to be Bavarians. Bavarians represented a small contingent relative to Prince Eugene's Austrians, I'd have preferred Austrian grenadiers or cavalry instead. But they're appealing old designs and well-animated so I can't quibble too much about the content.
