Is there a special technique for painting fleurs-de-lys in 30mm? I have never managed to get them symmetrical.

Really very very nice; hat off !

Thank you for your compliments!!
Ed, here is my method to achieve fleurs de lys:
1 - I draw several identical skeletons with brown lines
2 à 6 - With a brush size 000, and by blocking my breathing, I lay my yellow paint following each line of the skeleton; It is the pressure on the brush that gives me the width of each petal
I realize 4 to 5 flowers of lilies and I stop

Thank you for the description, Daniel!
I shall also try this technique!
Anyway, your result is gorgeous!

I had been struggling with fleur de lis on one of the glorious empires sets and ended up banging my head against the wall- this is great advice Daniel thank you. And the flag is of course superb!
