J'ai déchargé le tome 2, de la guerre en dentelle, mais cavalerie uniquement (très riche en dessins). Si tu ossèdes ou recherche ...le tome 1 !!

As a "Royal" regiment, the facings, cuffs, and breeches would have been blue. The coat and waistcoat, would have been red. All edging to cuffs and lapels, and to buttonholes, would be in an intricate woven lace. The Funckens give this as being half white, with diagonal red stripes, a quarter blue, and the outer quarter yellow. As in all regiments, the front of the mitre cap would have been in the facing colour, blue. As the 23rd had a distinctive badge, the three white feathers of the English prince of Wales, this would have been embroidered on the front. The lower flap at the front was, as in all regiments, red with the white horse of Hannover, edged with the motto "Nec Aspera Terrent". The rear of the mitre would have been red, piped with white.
The King's colour was the Union flag of the period, with in the centre the feathers in a crowned wreath of foliage, pink roses, thistles and shamrock. The regimental colour would have been blue with the union in the canton, and the same feathers and wreath in the centre. In the other three corners was an oval cartouche. Offhand, I can't remember which was where, bit I believe one was the red dragon rampant, and another depicted the sun rising over the mountains. I'll see if I can find more accurate details.

A couple of more books that you can look into British Infantry Uniforms from Marlborough to Wellington BY Funcken 1975. British Army from 1751-1783 By Carl Franklin lots of information on uniforms and lace and equipment. :o Willie.

Tank you all for these informations
My purpose is to make a little scene as shown on the joined picture
There is no evidence that the French Musketeers caught an English flag; it only seems that the "Maison du Roi" cavalry did
The second question is which flag ?
English reports of the battle usually say there was ponly one flag lost
But in the "Triomphes de Louis XV", a french manuscript, three infantry flags and two cavalry standarts are described
Among them the Royal Welsh King's and Regimental flags
I will take this option and try the King's Flag

I will receive it in one week .... and send relevent pages.

SEGOM produced a set of the colours taken at Fontenoy. It was one of the better sets, engraved by Lepeltier. I should have the information sheet that came with it in a file somewhere.

Dear Eric,
the scene you created really interesting. Would you please write information about manufactures of figures. I believe it's a mixture from different sets.
Thanks beforehand.
