Title: Poison Ivy Demi-Ronde
Post by: Glen on February 11, 2017, 11:14:27 AM
This is a re-purposed key ring from DC/Monogram In't. It's cast (or die-stamped) in pewter and 2.5" (about 6.5cm) high. Although not designed as a painter's figure, there was a surprising amount of detail on the front which fades away around the sides. The back is hollowed out. I removed the key ring from her head, filled the hole with Aves Apoxie Sculpt, and re-sculpted the hair. Reaper Master Series acrylic paints over brushed on Floquil Model Railroad Gray Primer. The figure is too thick to put into a basic frame, so I drilled a hole in the bottom and added a brass rod and wood base. A deep shadow box frame might have been a better way to go. Such pieces are widely available in comic/gaming shops.

Qs and Cs welcomed.

Thanks Sandor! It was a bit of an impulse buy and paint. Wasn't sure how it work out, but it seems ok. I was hoping there were other similar figures in the series, but it seems there isn't. God knows, you can never have enough large-breasted, scantily-clad warrior/superhero/villain babes

Great figure Glen. I love the idea of a humble key ring becoming such a good looking figure well done.

Thanks you both! I'm hoping I run across similar pieces from other manufacturers (but I'm not holding my breath...).
