A few flats have been painted lately, trying to sale a few and helping other dealers
On top of that repairing a MG Midget for a car club I'm with
One more thing, at the moment I am no longer a member of this society, not out of choice but my circumstances have changed.
-
I'm still slowly slogging through my Hastings set. Finished a couple of Norman cavalry and have another 6 or 7 to go
-
I haven't painted a traditional flat since September or so. Finished off a demi-ronde bust last week (which I'll post in a separate thread).
Brian, let's see the Midget! If you show me yours, I'll show you mine...

London Scottish kilts were (still are) Hodden Grey, sort of dark mauve.
-
Mohr's Witch Kitchen, Faust is painted after a period portrait of the Danish King Christian II. That is because in the final part, set in 1535, of Johannes V. Jensen's novel The fall of the King (1901) there is a homunculus who's an illegimate child of the former King Christian II.
-
Norman cavalry slowly coming together (more or less)
-
These look really lovely. The fine colouring of the horses and the robes looking finished.
-
Thanks. Here's the completed figure.
-
It'gone a be a very nice scene
I just would like a little more strenght in the painting with some work on the contrasts
For a battle scene it is too "clean"
But it is just a personal opinion
Eric
-
Thanks Eric. What do you mean clean? More shading?
-
IT S'NOT FINISH BUT THIS FLAT REPRESENT MY COUNTRY !!! la Venise Verte
-
Yes Mike , I think you could accentuate some shadows to give a better 3D feeling, especially on the horses
