Here's some old Heinrichsen figures, set issued in 1883. It fits well stylistically with the Wallensteins Lager set which we've seen Eric paint so well. Painted in acrylics. The set has many generals. It came with an indentification key, the first figure is supposed to be Pappenheim, although I have no idea if it actually resembles him.

And a few more. The set is about evenly divided between horse and foot. The mounted figure represents Johan Baner.

Very charming. The figure of Baner particularly is full of life.

I definitely do love these 40mm sets
Your way of painting fits very well with the style of the figures

It's great to see these old figures have new life breathed into them, and how you get acrylics to look so great is a mystery to me!

Thanks for the kind words, everyone.
I recently got a set of Chroma "Atelier Interactive" acrylics. These blend well and you can keep them wet for longer just by spraying with water, or work wet on the figure (which I don't do much of but it's more like oils technique). But I still use the old wargames paints in conjunction with the artist's acrylics.
