Title: Order of the Golden Fleece
Post by: errant49 on August 21, 2016, 05:04:17 AM
Here are seven figures from a famous set issued by the french collector Paul Armont, just before WWII
The first five figures are available from the AFCFEF, from the moulds I found some months ago
The two others (Crévecoeur and Brabant) are available from Maïer
The complete set is huge (about 50 figures)
30mm, oil

I have had a look at the Internet pages of the AFCFEF - but can't find from there any mention of, or how to order any copies of those five figures by Paul Armont.  How do you suggest I find out more??  johnnybach

Hi Johnny
The figures will be "officialy" available in a fortnight at the AFCFEF show in Strasburg (10-11 september)
As the AFCFEF does not have a Paypal account, the best way to order is to ask me
If you want I can order the set ,or several, for you, pick it up at Strasbourg and send it to you
You will pay me back with Paypal
I could also bring your sets at Euromilitaire in Folkestone (17-18 sept), so you won't have shipping cost
Cost of a set is 10 euros + shipping
Just tell me
Eric

Yes, of course
I do not know if I will come to the auction; it will depend on the catalogue
If I see André in Strasburg, I will give him
Amitiés

Yes please Eric - I would like a set of those pieces too.  We have never met - but thank you in advance, that's very kind of you.

Just let me know how to send you the €10 plus shipping ( I live in England), and I'll send it by Paypal.

Many thanks - Johnnybach

Just looked back on the thread Eric - and that Bergundian Banner holder looks like it was made to go with this set too. He is fabulous!
Is this figure part of the set, or by another maker???

If it is part of the original set - I would like to have it too - and pair it up with the Bergundian Knight ( which I'm assuming is Phillip, Duke of Bergundy - and founder of the Order).  Do you have any more  information about the availability of Jean de Vergey?????

Many thanks again - johnnybach (jb).

Hi all
First to Johnny : I just want to be clear about the golden fleece set; the one I can order at the AFCFEF is the 5 figures set issued from the moulds I found
The other figures I am now painting and showing are from editor  Maier (the address is probably in the editors list);  I will try to find a moment to explain the whole story again, with details about the available figures nowadays
Second to Jan : there wil be an auction by Fraysse and Blondieau on sept 28 but I have no idea of what will be for sale exfept some unpainted figures from the Terana collection
Third : to all people wanting a set I will check on Sunday 27 and confirm the orders; invoices will be sent when needed when I have the figures and shipping cost

Well done Eric, really like this rendition very much.

I have tried this figure using the Duc de Berry livery and I find for my talents it gets a little muddled in this size with the colors a little muted.  This shows wonderfully.
