Title: Saint Valentine's Day
Post by: Bernie on February 13, 2016, 07:33:06 AM
Here is my first flat in 2016: VT "Saint Valentine", 70mm, one-sided, 84 x 93 mm. Engraving Regina Sonntag after a drawing by Walter Crane.

Interesting. You might want to bump the font size up a bit; it's not readable on my screen. Lots of depth between the background plants, the bench, and the people; it should make for some complicated highlighting and shading. Careful planning there. Is the arm across the backrest his or hers? His right hand appears to grabbing her right breast - or is that some optical delusion...? :o

Ah, that makes sense Nick. 70mm is a good size for old eyes!
