Thanks Eric. :)

Nice work - I like it, Roger!!! :)
In the last week I also received about 10 horsemen from the Oldhafer Polish Hussars series.
The figures are quite similar to the outlook of the Hungarian Hussars of the beginning of the 16. century - so I should like to "employ" them in this role.
I shall report my headway soon.

Last week I received Warriors of the Hungarian Frontier 1526-1686 by Vegvari Vitezek so I'm looing forward to seeing what you ave in store and I might be following a similar route myself soon. ;)

Hi Roger!
Last time I forgot something:
Last week I received Warriors of the Hungarian Frontier 1526-1686 by Vegvari Vitezek
Since this is one of my favorite periods (beginning of the 16 c. in Hungary) I should like to know who is the editor of these figures?
Are they flats?
Thanks a lot for the information.
Best regards-
Sandor

Hi Sandor, it is actually a book. Sorry I thought you might have heard of it. Here is a link to it on Amazon UK.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Warriors-Hungarian-Frontier-1526-V%C3%A9gv%C3%A1ri/dp/9633275571/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1452580302&sr=1-1&keywords=warriors+of+the+hungarian+frontier
The artwork is, shall we say, unique but there is plenty of it and the author has a reputation for accuracy.
Also have a look here,

Hi Roger,
thank you for the info. The book somehow escaped my attention, but now I shall look after it.
Hi Fesak,
there is a very nice series about the Battle of Mohacs 1526 edited by Kieler Zinnfiguren http://www.kieler-zinnfiguren.de/Listen/Mohacs.html
I have also painted the figures, here are two photos about them:

The figure at the top with mace (high Hungarian nobleman) can be employed as Zapolya Janos (who became later the Hungarian king under the name John I.) - however Zapolya personally did not participate in the Mohacs battle.

Dear Sandor, thank you :) yes, you are correct, I ment his brother Gyorgy who attended the battle, but did not specify it earlier :)

Love your Mohacs figures Sandor, they look really nice.
