A nice little scene after Meissonnier, 54mm, oil; don't remember the editor
I will try to make a little boxed diorama

A wonderful painted little scene, very well done. That reminds me, I have this set too - unpainted. :-\
I think, the set is from Fredericus Rex.
-
Very nice indeed Eric.
Definitely Fredericus Rex, I have also done this one.

Now with a small background

*************** but not for Sèvres, background to be better ....

Fortunately I do not paint for competition, only for pleasure .....
-
Very nice!
Actually I have never been brave enough to start a 54mm flat - I think it demands more painting knowledge than what I have.
Anyway your figures and also the beackground are excellent.

Very nice, but I'm going to address the elephant in my mental room: why do the faces have an Asian look? Engraving? Painting? Both?
-
Well, Glen, this is a huge elephant !! ;D ;D
Asiatics would be much more yellow and I guess you are talking about the eyes ??? ???
This is my way of painting them with just a small line; I confess it can be confusing; I will think of it ::) ::) ::) ::)

But the eye's Eric, you sure there not Chinese ::)
