Can we bid at distance, or me MUST be present physically?
-
I am afraid the sale is not on line
It's really a pity

I understand, but in many auction rooms, you can send a maximum bidding value to the organisation, and the highest submitted overscores all lower,
During auction, one commissaire represents the highest bid against the room ... If someone in the room bids over you, you loose, otherwise you win against the public.
Is Drouot not allowing this ?? (unless they can't keep secrecy on biddings !!!?) (= is the wolrd so corrupted today that nobody can keep a secret anymore?... :-\ ). I could do this in Brussels in the years 1970's already by sending my highest bid on a (then paper) form...
(I could see you are putting flats on sales Eric ...)
-
Eric, are you going there? If yes, can you represent me to buy one set of Douchkine? :) (I would give you a list and max. bids).... ?? I am in the South of Turkey on that date...... :(
-
Yes Michel
You can bid by giving an order to the auctioneer or to the expert
Go on their web site and you will find the way
If it has the same success than in july, prices will be very high
It is probably the nicest auction since years
I am not sure to be there :(

Thanks Eric !!
-
Eric,
is there any way to see the final results after the event?
I mean to see how the market evaluates the offers!
Thank you.

Results should be published on the Segom website as they were for the previous sale
Eric
-
Thank you for the info, Eric.
I am curious about how high the prices will go up.
Best regards-

The lots have prices, are they starting amount?
Ray
-
No Ray
These amount are just an evaluation from the expert, and they are very low
Last july, at the previous auction starting prices where rather higher and some of the last prices really reach summits
Many of the Douchkine lots nearly reach 1000 euros
Even mine which are usually undervalued, mostly reach very good prices
Eric
-
And don´t overlook, on the top of the price you have to pay another 28% in commission!
Jan
-
YES !!!
-
Have we frighten them off now??? See you in Paris Eric!
Jan
-
Good luck with your auctions Eric, you are a wonderful artist and deserve high prices.
Ray

Thanks for the kind words, Ray
The owner of the collection was a very important french collector who died recently
He bought a lot of my figures when I sold them in several auctions in the 1980's
A number of his Douchkine's figures are in Alexander Baden's book

A small report from this auction
There where a lot of wonderful figures painted by Douchkine and I could have bought all of them if only my wallet had been big enough
Prices stay rather high but a less than at the july's auction
Lots were smaller so the final prices were lower
Even my figures kept a good level of price
I met some collectors friends among them some BFFS-IFFS members
I just had the chance to buy the lots I really wanted
Here are some pictures of three of them
The first one (Rome) is from Eugene Leliepvre whose way I like very much, maybe more than Douchkine
The two others are Douchkine's from the 1930-1940 years
One shows Burgundian banners, the other French cavalry standads at the battle of Saint Quentin
Eric
-
Magnifiques !!!
-
Wow! those are beautiful sets Eric.
I didn't know Eugene Leliepvr did flats as well, I love and collect his prints, such talent!
Ray
-
Eugène Leliepvre did paint flats, not so many as Douchkine, so they are not easy to find
As he was a great professionnal artist he really painted flats as he painted on canvas and this gives a very particular style
It is part of my hobby to have figures from different painters
Here is an other set I bought painted by Burkhalter who worked before WWII; this set comes from the Felix Keller collection

Eric,
I tried to find the results of the auction on the http://www.figurines-soldats.com/ (http://www.figurines-soldats.com/) website but I can't find it.
Is it too early - so they haven't communicate them - or I sought it on the wrong place?
Thank you.
Best regards-
sandor
-
Yes Sandor, just wait for a couple of days and you will have the results
Eric
-
Still no results?
Ray
-
Not yet !
Eric
-
Results are on the SEGOM site this morning

Sadly I bid more for lot #143 but the only way I have to pay was Paypal and apparently they would not accept this. :'(
