Title: Arcabuz French Hussar Bust
Post by: Glen on October 07, 2015, 02:53:04 PM
Well here it is! Some club members decide to make a bulk order to pick up some of Rafa's pieces, so I jumped on the bandwagon. I got the piece you see here. It's 3 inches tall, resin, and painted in Reaper Master Series acrylic paints.

Questions and comments are welcomed.

I find it good too!!
The light looks rate'hr zenithal, slightly from the left, except for the 'left' side of the face and 'left' side of the blue coat.. But I lie the way gold has been reached, and ethe red aswell !!
Is the size not rather 2.4 inches (60mm)?  Arcabuz makes smaller busts than usual found in Germany and France...

This figure is still available, one I did earlier as well as the new Chasseur.
Looks good Glen, well done  ;D

Hello Glen,

your painting of the hussar looks very natural.

Best regards

Thanks everyone! The piece is actually 3 inches from bottom to the plume top; I've corrected the original post.

Hannibal, you're right about the left (as viewed) side of the face. That will be corrected. As for the blue coat... it's actually darker than it appears, since it wraps around the shaded side of the body. I think this is a scanner effect where highlights on shaded pieces get a little more 'pop'.

Cheers,

Glen
