Hello friends of traditional flats,
yesterday I got issue 1/2015 of "Der Zinnfigurenfreund" (Journal of the Leipziger collectors).
The Gottstein moulds of "Das goldene Zeltlager 4.-24.6.1520" (48 figures) and "Napoleon" (10 figures) are restored and
the figures will be sold in Kulmbach. Maybe it´s a good idea to preorder a set if you are interested.
The rest of the Gottstein figures can be ordered but it tooks a while to restore all moulds.
Best regards
Michael

What are they, does anybody has a photograph of them?

There are nice pictures in the Gottstein book of www.edition-krannich.de and in the Douchkine book of Alexander Baden
( www.berliner-zinnfiguren.de ). There is a copyright on those pictures.

Hannibal you can go here on the site:

This entire catalog was once sold by Krog. Krog's catalog is on the site in the Flat Figure History section - look for the Field of Gold in there.
Personally I am less excited by this choice of figures but, to each his own. I am lucky enough to have a number of the Gottstein figures and all of them are beautifully designed and engraved.
It would be nice to see the Elephants in particular to show up in future years among others. Still much to look forward too!
