Hallo Michel,
the mongols are taken from a Men at Arms journal, THE MONGOLS Nr. 105. I painted them some years ago.
The group on the cover of this journal with a killed russian is part of these little series, too.
The engraver is maybe Egon Krannich who edits a lot of books on flats. The JC is a K.
Best regards
Michael

Michel & Hannibal. Yes they are Mongols and I would like to get some my self :o As for painting them the Osprey #105 is good and The Mongols by Tim Newark published by Concord has lots of nice pictures. Hannibal do you ever go to the Army Museum in your city. If you do could you see if they have any uniform post cards for sale and there address. Many yeas ago I emailed them and they never answered me back. Thanks Willie

Completing my documentation, the Osprey Warrior No 84 "Mongol warriors 1200-1350" is also remarkable, with excellent descriptions and drawings.
It is ready for starting the two flats, after Montrouge. They will be facing each other to show the two sides of the cavalerymen.
