Title: My Gallery
Post by: Kulmbach on February 15, 2015, 02:46:37 PM
Dear Mark,

I was so happy to get my Gallery back that I took the liberty to add another five pictures. To my distress the pictures are a little too big to be viewed without scrolling. Is there any way for me to correct this without taking a course?

Not an issue.  I will correct them tonight.

Particularly impressed with the drummer as I have him as well.  Amazing detail for such a small figure - stunning.

If you mean the Bavarian dragoon drummer Mark I'm in total agreement, it's a real beauty.

Encouraged by your kind words I have taken the liberty to add five more pictures. But I do need Mark´s "wisard hand" in helping to adjust them to be viewed without scrolling.

But, it´s a matter of fact that most of the pictures in my Gallery are taken for some time ago. Most of them are still attached on their piece of wood, as you may see. And the pictures are also taken in doors under rather poor light condition.

Jan, these are super. I'm delighted you have posted more. Not only the painting but the quality of the figure is great.

Jan your figures are superb.  I am assuming most of these are 30mm Neckels?  If so truly amazing.

Also, your pictures are corrected and I have changed some settings so there should not be an issue in the future.

Hi Mark,

Appreciate your kindly words and your help with my new pictures for my gallery. I do like the "Slide Show" version.

Yes, you might say that most of the figures are sold by Neckel, including the figures from the set "Des Blauen Königs". But he is not the original Editor as he bought the moulds from Raul Gerard (Raul Österreicher). It´s a matter of fact that all the sets from the Ancient World in Neckel´s possession are issued by Raul Gerard. The only figures among my pictures that was original edited by Neckel himself is that with "Ceaser and Cleopatra".

I find it honourable to give credit to the original collector that once issued various figures. Were you might buy figures today are changing over the time and will continue to do so.

I will see what else in the future I might find to add to my gallery.

Thank you for the information Jan - it is truly amazing the detail you are getting out of 30 mm figures!

And I agree with your thought process of honoring those who created the figures, I try to list the current Editor as well for those who are trying to track down where to purchase them.

Neckel is one of my favorite catalogs though I have been unable to get a reply from in several months.

Regardless like engravers I tend to see certain favorite designers show up in my favorites as well as engravers.

Thank you for the information and sharing your work.
