Title: LD-marking - who is the graveur
Post by: snagy on February 15, 2015, 01:00:13 PM
Friends,
I have recently got the Ermordung Wallensteins series, with the marking: LD (see the attached pics).
I would be curious about the graveur.
Is there any info available?

Hallo Sandor,

maybe it was Daniel Lepeltier ??? He engraved a lot of TYW flats for Droste and other editors.

Erich Kästner edited a postcard with "Wallensteins Ermordung in Eger" several years ago.

Best regards

Michael

Hello,

For Daniel Lepeltier it is normally DL and not LD.

It is perhaps Lunkwitz Dieter. His mark looks like that : a big L with a little D.

Best regards.
