I have been talking to Nick and we feel we would like to make a contribution on behalf of the Society to Mike's Memorial Fund, to commemorate the inspiration and advice he has given us all. I must stress that this is NOT to be taken from the Society's funds, but from individual members wishing to make a contribution in the Society's name.
I understand that many members who were close to Mike would prefer to contribute in their own names, but there may be more of us who would wish to combine our offerings, however large or small, into one contribution in the Society's name, in recognition of all Mike has done for us.
If people think this is a good idea, I would be happy to collate contributions via my PayPal account. Please give me your opinions on this matter, and your permission to get things rolling.
In two dimensions,
Ed

Thanks Ed,
If anyone is interested please let us know as soon as possible, otherwise we will just do individual contributions.
It would be good if we could do a BFFS contribution, it would be a good gesture.

This is a good idea, and for not having something from the BFFS would be amiss as Mike was a member of the Society.

Well, I thought it was a good idea, but there's not much interest. I feel I need to make a contribution myself, and if anyone wants to combine theirs with mine, I'd be happy to sort it out. Just let me know what you want to contribute, and I'll collate everything.

Not asking for a lot!! £5 just over the price of a beer or whatever you can donate, Mike Taylor was a great influences on the figures and painting styles we use to day, so go on, buy the man a beer and all the money go's to transporting his collection to the museum in Holland ;)
If you would like to give more I'm sure Ed can handle it ;D
Have a look at some of his work and remember he wrote the book "The Art Of The Flat Tin Figure" the best reference to painting the little guys http://www.intflatfigures.org/index.php?action=gallery;cat=36
